The Challenge

Founded in 1979, Portobello Group is one of the leading global references in the ceramic tile sector. The company exports to more than 65 countries, owns the largest manufacturing plant in the segment in Latin America, and operates an extensive retail network with over 150 stores. With a robust and highly integrated operation, the company began dealing daily with massive volumes of data distributed across different business areas. In this scenario, spreadsheet-based processes could no longer keep up with the operation's complexity, making it difficult to consolidate information, track indicators, and generate strategic insights. More than just implementing technology, the challenge was to structure a data-driven culture capable of connecting departments, accelerating analysis, and supporting decisions with greater intelligence and reliability.

We managed to reduce the time spent building visualizations, gained agility in reading information, and were able to obtain various market insights, in addition to identifying more possibilities for developing new dashboards.

The partnership between BIX Tecnologia and Portobello Group began through Portobello Shop, the company’s retail arm, with the development of a Data Analytics solution focused on performance analysis and commercial management.
