Knowledge-Sharing Platform with AI for socialprotection.org

socialprotection.org is a knowledge-sharing platform that offers free access to resources, publications, events, and learning tools on social protection, and lets users share and engage with the latest updates in the field.

The organization needed a robust, modern, and user-friendly platform: a scalable environment where users easily find relevant, high-quality content curated by experts, while collaborating and exchanging knowledge. Key objectives included:

• Online communities, a partner hub, blogs, webinars, podcasts, events, and other interactive features for social protection professionals worldwide
• A seamless user experience, strong content management, and the flexibility to grow and adapt to future needs
• Specialized AI capabilities to help users discover relevant information and access knowledge reliably, through expert-curated content, trusted sources, and advanced search and recommendation mechanisms

End-to-end design, development, and ongoing evolution

Since February 2025, a team of 10 from BIX Tech has been responsible for the full stack of socialprotection.org, from the platform architecture and integrations to its ongoing technical evolution.

• Front end: UI/UX design and development, making the platform intuitive, accessible, responsive, and easy to navigate across devices
• Back end: the core infrastructure, including content management, user authentication and authorization, databases, APIs, search, analytics, and integrations with third-party services
• Collaboration and AI: online communities, the partner hub, and AI-powered information discovery
• Ongoing support: maintenance, performance optimization, security enhancements, technical support, and continuous improvements

The project is managed collaboratively, with regular communication, transparency, and responsiveness, delivering on the agreed objectives and milestones while handling evolving requirements and stakeholder feedback.
